Market capitalization is the amount of shares a publicly traded company has outstanding multiplied times the price per each share. It is widely viewed as representing the markets view of a companies net worth. Any guesses on what the top 5 companies by market capitalization are in the US? Here are your choices:

Procter & Gamble
Wal-Mart
Johnson & Johnson
General Electric
Microsoft
Berkshire Hathaway
Apple
Exxon Mobil
Bank of America
Google

I believe Apple may be way up the list given it's recent stock run up. Wal-Mart, Berkshire, and Apple are my top 3 choices. The last 2 are wild guesses: Exxon Mobil and J&J.
